My iPhone Repair has seen an incredible amount of iPhones coming in to their iPhone repair labs in Santa Rosa, CA that have been bricked due to the iPad baseband unlock that was previously used to unlock their iPhone. My iPhone Repair has the solution to unbrick your iPhone in this scenario!

If you have an iPhone 3G or 3GS that was previously unlocked using the 6.15 iPad baseband and you have attempted restoring your iPhone and received Error 1500 – we have the solution for you!

The solution is rather simple!  Just follow these steps to repair your iPhone:

Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 Using sn0wbreeze 2.2 [How To] :

Part 1 : Download the following

Download iTunes 10 or above
Download sn0wbreeze 2.2 for iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak: download here

Step 2 : Creating the Custom Firmware

1) Connect your iDevice to your computer.

2) Open sn0wbreeze 2.2

3) You will need to select the
Original the iOS 4.2.1 firmware. This
can be downloaded here
Click on ‘Browse’, select the firmware you just downloaded and click ‘Open’.

4) Choose ‘Expert Mode’ and click on the blue arrow to continue.

5) Now you need to customize your firmware. Click on ‘General’ and then, click on the blue arrow to continue.

6) Now sn0wbreeze 2.2 will create the custom firmware.

Part 3 : Restoring iOS 4.2.1 Custom Firmware

Put your iPhone in DFU mode by following the onscreen directions.
Once the iPhone is in DFU mode, launch iTunes and it will tell you it has found an iPhone in recovery mode. Press OK to continue.
5) To install the custom firmware, press the Alt/Option key and click on “Restore” in iTunes.

Note : Make sure it is the custom firmware and not the stock one (you can recognize the custom one because it’s called “sn0wbreeze_iPhone_xxx”).

Now wait for few minutes until iTunes does its job. The iPhone will reboot after it has been restored successfully.

Now you have successfully untethered jailbroken your iDevice using sn0wbreeze 2.2!

Next you will simply install ultrasn0w from within cydia and enjoy an unlocked iPhone on 4.2.1 !
